Rols

Wine and other alcoholic drinks were sometimes used to preserve food.  Firecrackers were used to send away evil spirits around the house , at least, to preserve life according to the Chinese who invented them.   Together, they make a perfect combination ~ not to preserve life, but to ruin it.

On  a New Year's Eve, several years ago,  Rolly D. Hugo, aka Rols, enjoyed this perfect combination for a while.  He had liquor on his right hand and firecrackers on his left.  Before the New Year begins, he had lost his five little fingers when some firecrackers ( kwitis and watusi) whom he was holding in his left hand exploded.  The rest was history.

Nevertheless, the said  tragedy never ended Rol's life.  At least, he has managed to adapt and adjust to a new life without his five little fingers.  Still, at the moment, he could manage to pare green mangoes ( with a peeler ) and  even pineapples at that  and do some other household chores.  Last year, he had his driver's license for the disabled.

Thank you Rols for driving the car for Rein and Joe, bringing them around the places here in the Metro Manila and nearby provinces.    You  have made their stay here very convenient  and enjoyable.   Joe was so proud of you as he told his parents  back in the UK about your driving skills despite the absence of your left hand.

May God bless you more as you continue to make other's lives happy and as you live your life for Him !

Thank You, Joe... Unfortunately, I didn't catch the big hug...

Aren't you happy with our food Rols?  Late lunch na kasi eh...
