Huling Hirit ni Joe

If Rein requested for an all-Filipino dish meal for lunch yesterday before their flight back to UK, Joe's final request was to be able to walk along the Manila Bay and watch the sun set.

Many Filipinos, particularly those residing in Metro Manila have never realized how lucky we are for having a beautiful sunset.  The view of the sunset at the Manila Bay is world famous and like other foreigners, my SIL Joseff Kitchen had been longing to take a leisure walk along Manila Bay and watch the beautiful setting of the sun.

Finally, after several attempts which failed due to hectic schedules,  Joe had his sweet moments with the sun by the Manila Bay.  Except for the parking fees, there were no other fees needed to see the beautiful sunset by the Bay.  INDEED, THE BEST THINGS IN LIFE ARE FREE!

When we get by the Bay, the sun, like a bully, hid itself behind the clouds...

Every now and then, it slowly crept out of the dark clouds, as if it tried to tease Joe...

Unwavering of his desire to see the sunset, Joe sat by the bay wall and patiently waited for this bully sun

Rein lovingly kept his company, too....

Little by little, in every way,

Little by little,  in all the way  . . .

the sun was changing its  form...

Finally, the sun came out of the dark clouds...

that brought a sweet smile on Rein's face...

Now the sun in all its glory . . .

... was just under Joe's armpit...

It let its fire out . . .  burning the whole sky . . .

Convinced of Joe's great desire to meet him

Face to face

It showed in all grandiosity

its power . . .

... its beauty and its glory . . .

bringing smiles into everyone's face

Joe patiently waited until the sun touched the water

as it bid goodbye to a day well-spent and ready to say hello to a wonderful evening...
