More food in London (PartI)

On August 12, 2011, two days after my nth birthday,  we had another lunch blow-out at FORTNUM and MASON, an older shopping establishment than HARROD's with royal connections .

On our way to Fortnum and Mason

And here were our choices of food ...

All the food looked and tasted great and their prices were great as well.  Of course, I would never forget  the scones ( it looked like medyo matigas na monay to me ) with butter and jam worth 6-7 sterling pounds ( which was more or less equivalent to Php 400.00 ) .  In fairness, the scones with butter and jam tasted good but I still believed that what we have paid for were the silver and gold plated teapots, cutleries and cups, including the magnificent chandeliers and the F & B associates.

What I really appreciated here was more of the ambiance rather than the food.  But of course, eating  all these English food was well worth the experience.
It was truly an endearing experience to eat where the royals do.
We all looked happy, didn't we ?  But I swear, no food in London will ever beat our very own sinigang, kare-kare with bagoong, michado, daing na bangus, tuyo  and all the "silog" combinations.  I also missed our  "puto, kutsinta, suman, biko and maruya.

For our drinks, how I wished they had buko or sago-gulaman although, in fairness, they've got a lot of juice variants.
Still, it's more fun in the Philippines with our all-time favorite and very own Filipino cuisine !
