Remedios Federigan Carbero , whom we fondly call REMY, turned 60 last November 4, 2014. She quietly spent her special day with her family and generously opened her heart and her purse to her K-friends ( those less fortunate guys living in Kariton, Karton at kalye ) and to the indigent scholars of their Parish church. She described her birthday celebration to be very simple but a very, very fulfilling one.
Together with some high school and college seatmates and friends, we saved a date to welcome Remy to our SENIORa Club. It was more of chatting and comparing notes ( probably you could make a guess on what and where we compared notes . . . hahaha ) catching up with the latest hobbies and interests of each other and of course, kainan at KODAKAN! It didn't really matter where the venue was. We had it first in the mall, and on the following day, we continued with our " business " in her office in Intramuros, Manila. Our sincere apologies to the employees of Mercantile Insurance Co. for our uncontrollable boisterous laughter and compulsive photo shooting. Pagbigyan na ninyo kami. After all, Remy will celebrate her 60th birthday only ONCE. Next year, she will turn 61. God willing, we will be stronger and more active by then and we will meet in another place... hehehe
Happy, happy 60th birthday, Remy! With my arms wide open, I welcome you to the SENIORa CLUB! Other SENIORa friends, schoolmates and batch mates may welcome her too! After all, it isn't too late, is it?
