The Chocolate Hills in Carmen, Bohol |
This time, I visited the Chocolate Hills with my family. Joseff, my son-in-law, who visited the place for the first time had high hopes that many of the hills are still chocolaty since the summer is not yet over. However, most of the hills were covered with green leaves too ( most probably because it started to rain already) and only a few hills were halfway turning chocolaty.
Midday, we tried to climb the 207 steps going up the view deck . Good enough, the steps were covered with green fiber glass thus preventing us from the direct exposure to the heat of the angry sun. At the top, we found the view deck being repaired due to the destruction brought by the recent earthquake that hit the province.

We had a good view of all the hills though. Despite its verdant green color, we made our Chocolate Hills experience sweet and chocolaty. Look at the pictures below and tell me if you do agree !
